Basetrack Live Show

Promotional poster for Basetrack show  was an assignment from Graphic Design class while I was studying in Pratt. It was created in 2014.

The founder of Basetrack project wanted to explore what soldiers face during war in an effort to counteract the problem many journalists had in presenting in-depth content because of their short embed periods.

The concept of the poster was originated from exploring the psychological condition of soldiers who’s been to the battle field.

The grenade is an explosive weapon in war. Grenade and heart were combined metaphorically described the mental condition of soldiers who suffer from PTSD.

The background of the poster was trying to depict the roughness and cruelty of the war with cracked wall and imperfect surfaces. The heart grenade color is contrasted with the background and represents that war is cruel and yet we are only human with heart beats.
